Dolomais was born from ancient roots and values. After the Second World War, the life of grandfather Libero, a young emigrant to Germany, takes a courageous and ambitious change of direction: a return to the enchanting landscapes of the majestic mountains of his childhood. With his wife and five children, he decided to start his own farm, a symbol of an unspoilt place and the genuine passion that had always distinguished him.
With the passing of time, the fertile mountain land becomes the place where the roots of grandfather’s experience and wisdom intertwine with Ramona her daughter and Angelo her husband curiosity and innovation. Together, over time, they will pursue the goal of seeking authenticity of flavour through the natural use of raw materials, respecting the spontaneity of the seasons and the balance of the ecosystem. 30 March 1991 marks the opening of the Bon Tajer farmhouse, a mountain location characterised by simple, rustic cuisine rooted in local traditions. This represents the beginning of the evolution of Dolomais, where traditional ingredients are reinterpreted in culinary terms to create new dishes. Vincenza Loreto was born in Avola, Sicily. Here, as a child, she prepared sweets at home with her mother and grandmother, from whom she learned the secrets of the ancient recipe for almond biscuits. She worked in the family pastry shop "Infinite Dolcezze" in Avola, where she refined her technique between one baking session and another in the laboratory. When her parents retired, Vincenza decided to make her dream come true: to create her own line of almond products of the highest quality. The mission is to enhance the Pizzuta d'Avola Almond by preparing a traditional Sicilian product that is different from the others
VISCOTTA by Vincenza Loreto aims to be the best expression of the agricultural tradition of Avola, already renowned for the confetti with the Pizzuta d'Avola Almond. The products are 100% artisanal and hand-crafted by Pastry Chef Vincenza Loreto, who brings years and years of precious experience into her portfolio.
